Pine Avenue says it's time to party again (Long Beach Press-Telegram)
Pine Avenue stakeholders hope tonight's revelers party like it's 1999. That was the last year of Pine's signature block party, which was killed by Y2K, 9-11, sagging tickets sales and a move to the adjacent Promenade. "Pine Avenue New Year's Eve" will return tonight along a closed-to-cars stretch between First Street and Broadway.
